Cool Mini or Not has confirmed that the delay to the launch of Bloodborne: The Card Game in the UK is due to licensing issues, and has offered reassurance that the rescheduled launch will be ‘very shortly’.

Tabletop Gaming reported last week that the spin-off to the PS4-exclusive video game designed by Eric Lang had been unexpectedly postponed in the UK, despite successfully launching in the US on Friday.

At the time, no specific reason was given, but a newsletter from British online retailer Chaos Cards earlier this week suggested that licensing legalities were to blame for the hold up.

CMON has since issued a statement to TTG to confirm and clarify the situation surrounding the anticipated title.

“CMON currently holds the Sony license rights for Bloodborne: The Card Game for the North American market," a representative said. "We have communicated to them the need to expand these rights to include your territory. CMON is diligently working with Sony to address this issue and will inform us as soon as this is accomplished.

“According to the latest update this will allow us to provide Bloodborne: The Card Game very shortly, we ask for your patience as this agreement is being finalised and we assure you we will inform you of the date as soon as it is made available to us.”

In other words, it shouldn't be long before we hear more about the game's release over here. Fingers crossed.
