All aboard for a joke that’s become reality! Join Tabletop Gaming for an evening of choo-choos and choosing the right route cards to get you the most points.
Play Ticket To Ride on a vintage steam train and enjoy the romance of classic trains with a classic train game.
Join us at Nene Valley Railway for a two-hour ride on a heritage steam train, and play some games too.
Don’t have a copy of Ticket To Ride? No problem, you can buy a copy of the game along with your ticket.
Leaving from Wansford Station, the train will travel in both directions through the countryside, offering views and the excitement of rail travel.
And if you don’t want to play Ticket To Ride, or even a game about trains, we’ll forgive you for going off track. Bring your own games to the event if you wish, or none at all if you just want to enjoy a ride on a classic engine.
Nibble box options are available, as are drinks at the on-train bar, although guests are more than welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks.
The event will take place across several open carriages and a handful of private carriage booths. The continental carriages have the air of Murder on the Orient Express* and feature original and restored fittings from the golden age of rail travel.
Time: Arrive between 6pm and 6.15pm ready for boarding. Departure is at 6:45pm.
Please note, this is a vintage steam engine, and as such offers the charms of pre-air-conditioning ventilation, lots of authentic noise, and real steam.**
*Our terms and conditions do not permit murder nor solving crimes on the train as part of this event.
**It’s a very old train, be nice to it.
