A new, potentially huge, six-part Call of Cthulhu campaign has been teased by Chaosium’s Mike Mason on our very own podcast.
“We have a campaign being written at the moment – that kind of classic campaign that we’ve always, always wanted to do,” says Mason, “you start as freshmen students at Miskatonic University, and you go year by year. You’ll have this grand Miskatonic valley campaign.”
You can listen to the full podcast here, or find links to a number of sources below. Alternatively, you can listen through YouTube.
Sam Johnson worked on the original Miskatonic sourcebooks and returns to the fold for this project. The goal of the campaign is to provide a structure for investigators to move from Scooby Doo to Ghostbusters over the course of several years play.
Mason is heading up the project in the unenviable role of working out a ‘proper’ timeline to the events of HP Lovecraft source material so that this new epic campaign fits in with the sourcebooks for Arkham more generally.
Listen to the podcast to hear about other upcoming titles from Chaosium (including Cthulhu by Gaslight) and Lynne Hardy’s upcoming ‘Regency Cthulhu’. The latter is a Sharpe-meets-Jane-Austen-meets-Cthulhu inspired setting for exactly what it sounds like.
Plus, hear a few extra insights into the Rivers of London RPG too – following on from our own coverage of the game at Dragonmeet.

We had an exclusive scenario for Call of Cthulhu a few issues back, in an issue that also included a full interview with Mike Mason. You can find that by clicking here, and be sure to let us know if your group manage to escape the library unharmed!
