Atomic Mass Games Launches New Miniature Paint Sets 

Who Is Atomic Mass Games Working With? 

Atomic Mass Games, which falls under the parent company Asmodee, have made a name for themselves for their branded war games. Working with major franchises Marvel and Star Wars, the company is currently responsible for titles like Marvel: Crisis Protocol, Star Wars Shatterpoint, Star Wars: Legion and Star Wars: Armada. Naturally, each of these games is constantly being expanded with new miniatures, both in the form of famous characters and well-known vehicles. 

A key part of these experiences is therefore linked to assembling the miniatures, with hobbyists painstakingly crafting their models before applying a custom aesthetic to finalise the ideal battlefield look. So far, players have largely utilised paints from other companies to complete their minis. However, Atomic Mass Games have announced a new partnership that will change all that. 

Atomic Mass Games have joined up with Monument Hobbies to develop a range of paint kits that will cater to all of the company’s titles. Monument Hobbies is a well-respected hobbyist brand, with an array of paints, brushes, sprays, and miniatures available in their store. Monument Hobbies is also known for the tabletop title Age of Angra, which highlights the depth and versatility of the studio. This collaboration thus plays to the strengths of both companies, as Atomic Mass Games’ established titles are combined with Monument Hobbies’ trusted products. 

What’s In The Paint Kits? 

Atomic Mass Games and Monument Hobbies have confirmed that two separate paint kits will mark the debut of this collaborative project. They will be known as AMP Colors Cosmic Sets,  with Set 1 and Set 2 containing alternative colours. There will be 22 ml of paint per bottle, and a total of 18 paints across both sets; 9 in each. They will be based on the PRO Acryl formula. 

AMP Colors Cosmic Set 1 includes: 

• Cool Grey

• Black Red

• Dark Navy Blue

• Beige Grey

• Orange Yellow

• Peach Flesh

• Bright Green Blue

• Magenta Wash

• Petroleum Brown Wash

AMP Colors Cosmic Set 2 includes: 

• Slate Grey

• Red Orange

• Burnt Umber

• Green Brown

• Bright Brown Grey

• Grey Green

• Steel Metallic

• Brown Grey Wash

• Payne’s Grey Wash

Atomic Mass Games and Monument Hobbies have reassured users that these miniatures paints are appropriate for application with both brushes and airbrushes. They are consistent paints, equipped with glass agitators and boast a unique distribution cap. 

When Will Atomic Mass Paints Be Available? 

This announcement has also revealed that the paints will be available to buy at AdeptiCon 2025, where Atomic Mass Games and Monument Hobbies will be on-hand to showcase their potential. This event takes place from the 26th to the 30th of March. 

The kits will then be purchasable via the Atomic Mass Games and Monument Hobbies digital stores in April 2025, before quickly finding their way to all good local gaming and hobby shops. 

The paint kits have clearly been designed with Atomic Mass Games’ versatile array of miniatures in mind, and should elevate major titles like Marvel: Crisis Protocol and Star Wars: Shatterpoint. We have not been informed of any other plans concerning the future hobby kits that may result from this partnership, but it is probable that if these paints prove to be successful, the line will be expanded across 2025.
