British seaside dwellers on the hunt for a local place to check out some new board games are in luck, as Bournemouth’s first board game café has announced its opening date.

Coffee & Dice has reportedly been in development for more than two years, and claims to be the very first tabletop eatery to open in the coastal town.

The outlet will play host to over 500 titles alongside a menu ranging from coffee (shock) and cold drinks to sandwiches and cakes, with an alcohol licence seemingly in the works.

The café will be based in Bournemouth’s new development at Calendula Place and will open from 10am to 11pm, with special events planned for each Tuesday and once a month. There are also plans

Entry will cost £4, which will grant ‘unlimited game access and support’. The venue seats 60.

Coffee & Dice are looking for an extra £10,000 to fund extra featues for the café – such as custom tables and a bigger library of games – on Kickstarter, which is planned to open in March next year should all go well.
