UK University societies have the opportunity to receive up to £200 of free games for their group in a new initiative from Chaos Cards and Asmodee – just by filling in a form.
Free Games for Students
Chaos Cards, a tabletop game retailer and physical game store based in Folkstone has partnered with game distributors and publishers Asmodee to offer gaming societies across the UK an opportunity to receive a bundle of free board games worth £200.
“We know how tough it is to finance a board game hobby when you’re also prioritising your studies,” said Liz Flynn, General Manager of Chaos Cards. “That’s why we wanted to give societies a boost to their collections and make gaming more accessible on campus. Tabletop games are such a fantastic way to meet new friends, bond over challenges, and simply have fun. What’s not to love?”
Board Games Included
Societies will receive a bundle of board games worth £200, which will feature a variety of board games – from Azul to Mansions of Madness to Marvel Champions – and everything in between, including Just One, Ticket to Ride, Unlock! and many more. The full list of games is absolutely perfect for a group of eager gamers, all are easy to learn and play, but with differing levels of complexity. It's bound to be extremely popular, so we'd recommend sending the link to groups that might be interested.
How to Apply to Chaos on Campus
Interested societies need only fill in a form on Chaos Cards' website to apply. The form asks you to fill in details of your society, but there are no strict requirements for you to be successful. Chaos Cards have said there'll be bonus points for those societies who are active on social media and keen to stay in touch, but not any quotas or requirements that societies must abide by in order to receive or keep the games. They're simply looking for passionate groups who would benefit from a boost of board games – so if that's you, be sure to apply!
Applications must be received by 7th February 2025.
