Let's get digital
"This is beyond pen and paper, this is D&D Beyond", says the trailer for the brand new app from D&D Beyond.
D&D Beyond is the place to go to when you need info for your D&D campaign. From it, you can find rules, tools, content, manage and build your characters, and create your own content. Now it's finally digital, and available to download on iOS or Android.
If you play D&D, this is a great way to keep track of your characters. They're always there, wherever your phone is, and are also available to view offline, so you're never without them – plus, you're not likely to lose them, like you can with a character sheet (cue heartbreak). You can change the characters stats, track spells, slots, and equipment, all within the app itself.
This is from the character you have (or can) build within D&D Beyond in browser.
The early impressions of the app are good, though it's clear there's additional opportunity to grow it further. Some changes or amendments that you may need to make or research remain browser only for now, but it has made clear its plans to change this further down the road, but regardless it's likely that this will be popular, and worth keeping on your phone whether you use it as your main source, or if it's just something you need ad-hoc.
