Set includes four scenarios inspired by short story The Frost-Giant’s Daughter
Conan’s first full-blooded scenario expansion has been revealed, taking the barbarian warrior and his companions to the frozen realm of Nordheim.
The Nordheim set will come with 24 new miniatures, including oversized figures to represent the frost giants that dwell in the snowy tundra. Rounding out the roster are figures of the Vanir and Aesir, which will offer new enemies for the skirmishes.
There’ll also be four original scenarios, all of which are based on Conan author Robert E. Howard’s short story The Frost-Giant’s Daughter.
Apparently, the scenarios will diverge from the exact narrative of the tale, exploring alternate conclusions and events that allow some of Conan’s allies to survive and take on the dead forces resurrected by a necromancer.
To capture the snowy wastes of Nordheim, the pack will also include a double-sided game board, complemented by a selection of extra tiles, tokens and cards.
Nordheim is due out during the second quarter of 2017, and will cost around $60 (£50).
