Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is the newest card set for Magic: The Gathering
Massive monsters join your decks for the release of the Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths set for Magic: The Gathering.
Here's the HUGE video trailer:
With huge original monsters, and some lighter, weirder ones joining the fray (flying fox anyone?) you can unleash the might beasts closest to your heart. Or at least, in Arena which launches on April 16. Due to current Covid-19 concerns the card release date has been pushed back to May 15 for the UK and North America.
What's more, Godzilla and a host of other TOHO monsters will be joining in. These cards will offer alternative art of the biggest monsters we're all familiar with.
Here's a comment Kyoko Yoshida of Wizards of the Coast commented on the collaboration:
“Magic: The Gathering’s rich and engaging multiverse offers such unique opportunities to explore new worlds like Ikoria, filled with incredible monsters that are larger than life.
"Collaborating with TOHO CO., LTD to bring the Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah and more onto the same world to battle with Magic’s Planeswalkers and new creatures for a first-of-its-kind collaboration is an extraordinary experience that we can’t wait for players to enjoy.”
