Hasbro is opening a water park and holiday resort with Magic: The Gathering and Monopoly themed attractions

If you’ve ever wanted to stay in Mayfair or Park Lane but never had the cash, you might be able to finally get your chance – except it won’t be London you’ll be experiencing, but Monopoly.

Mega-publisher Hasbro has announced plans for its first indoor water park and family resort, themed around some of its biggest toy and game franchises.

Though there are no definitive details yet, the holiday destination is set to include themed hotel rooms, entertainment and food and drink, as well as installations and experiences inspired by Magic: The Gathering, Monopoly, Hungry Hungry Hippos, My Little Pony, Mr. Potato Head, Candy Land and Nerf.

Maybe you’ll take a ride down the blue mana Magic: The Gathering water slide, before slurping down a marble milkshake at the Hungry Hungry Hippos café and ducking for cover in a Nerf shooting arena. If you misbehave in the park, we can only assume you go straight to jail without passing Go or collecting £200.

The Hasbro resort is set to open in a currently unannounced location by 2022.

Meanwhile, a separate Monopoly Mansion hotel is already set to open in Kuala Lumpur next year, with rooms inspired by Monopoly’s 1920s origins and key cards based on the property cards from the board game.
