Stay on the sunny side up with a new family game from Renegade Game Studios
A “Tricky Egg Card Game” has been announced today from Renegade Studios named Gudetama, due to crack in August 2020. This potentially egg-cellent game insists you don’t get scrambled on the last card!
Okay, that’s enough of those yokes.
Gudetama: The Tricky Egg Card Game is a family game for 2-7 players, where you’ll seek to avoid winning the final trick! You’re trying to avoid points, and the player who wins that final trick scores points equal to their card that won the trick. You’ve got seven rounds to try to win!
The game is for ages 7+, and playing time is about 20 minutes. It was created by Steve Ellis and Ben Eisner, with Wook-Jin Clark providing the art for it. Inside the box, you’ll get 63 cards (numbered 1-14), and a rule sheet. You can pre-order the game now, with a US cost of $15.
Renegade Game Studios themselves offer a whole range of games, with some great family games that this has the opportunity to join. It’s also the publisher for Fox In the Forest, a game nominated for the Kinderspiel des Jahres, meaning it’s in great company.
It’s also worth remembering that upcoming is Renegade Con Virtual, taking place June 5th – 7th 2020, with registrations opening now. Gudetama doesn’t feature on the schedule as yet, but it might be that we get to take a look at it at some point during this convention.
Until then, you can see it on their website and pre-order in time for its August release.
