Now fully funded on Kickstarter spook yourself with friends
The creators of the Lovecraft inspired Deep Madness return with Dawn of Madness. With 18 days to go in the Kickstarter the campaign has raised £800,000 of the requested £77,000. The game is set in the same world as Deep Madness so fans know what they're getting into already.
Diemension Games promises the game to be truly frightening. They’re putting the effort in here with four books of horror to work through. But don’t worry, you don’t have to do it alone. This is a co-op game of survival horror where you play as some wanders in a particularly nasty hellscape.
The kickstarter promises an almost Kingdom Death level of nasties in the box at certain pledge levels. Although, this is more Resident Evil leftovers sewn together with Dark Souls bosses in their spaghetti-of-limbs-and-faces design. I particularly like the Masquerades abominations which look like flesh-and-bug nightmares dreaming of being clouds.
As a co-op game we expect it to play a little like a guided RPG. There’s a jigsaw element to the game and each character has multiple bosses and mini-bosses to complete. It’s too early to see if this is going to be extremely exciting or just a hot mess, but we really don’t mind either way.
Pop over to the Kickstarter to see what you think.
