Excitement awaits with brand new Osprey Games RPGs, coming in 2025.

Osprey Games and Osprey Publishing has become synonymous with high-concept RPGs, and a recent blog post has confirmed the launch of three new titles that will add further quality to its collection.

Who Are Osprey Games?

Osprey Games is a well-known and highly respected tabletop developer and a subsidiary of the publishing company Bloomsbury, after they were acquired alongside Shire Books in 2014. The industry titan has produced beloved hits within the wargame genre like The Silver Bayonet, Frostgrave, and Stargrave

However, it has also made its mark in roleplaying, with recent successes to be found with The Terror Beneath, Tomorrow City, and Through The Hedgerow. Its ambitions might extend to board games such as Ofrenda and Katmai, but Osprey Games is notably moving forward with a new slate of RPGs that will help secure its future in that space.

A recent blog from Osprey’s official website broke down three major releases that will be launching across 2025. These are set to be vitally important titles that could both lead to expanded franchises and inspire Osprey’s approach to 2026. With those stakes in mind, we wanted to highlight those potential future classics, as Osprey’s RPG archives get just a little bit bigger.

What Is Untamed Worlds?

First up is Untamed Worlds, which is written by Jack Norris, with illustrations by Logan Stahl. The former is an award-winning RPG writer with credits that include John Carter, and Fantasy AGE, while the latter is a sci-fi and fantasy artist who has worked on a range of indie titles.

The game has been pitched as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meets the Dirty Dozen in space, where animals have been sent out into the galaxy as humankind’s warriors. The military and sci-fi RPG sees players control their chosen genetically modified creature as they face alien threats, out-of-control AI and sinister factions in this 2D6-based fast-paced system. Untamed Worlds is set to launch in September, and opens up the opportunity for stargazers to embrace the anthropomorphic chaos of this action-packed title.

When Can You Play Two Sides Of The Same Coin?

Next is Two Sides of the Same Coin, an appropriately named cooperative RPG that somehow still only boasts a single winner. It’s written by Beckie Blake, a hobbyist and tabletop store owner, and boasts art from Nathan J. Anderson who has worked on Osprey games Pressure and Those Dark Places.

Players both work together and seek to betray one another, with these one-shot quests carefully balanced to provide each character with the opportunity to achieve their own goals, while giving the illusion of teamwork. Whether it’s a murder mystery or a sci-fi epic, the missions move players through a variety of scenarios, each of which sees them armed with an ulterior motive that’s sure to cause chaos in their alliance. Narrators should be prepared to craft complex scenes of their own for players to compete in, as this game hits stores in November.

What Do You Need To Know About The Hooded Man?

Finally, Osprey Games takes obvious inspiration from Robin Hood with The Hooded Man asking players to become medieval outlaws. Graham Rose of Paleomythic is on writing duties, while Brainbug design is set to produce the title’s art after success on The Silver Bayonet, and The Terror Beneath.

This adventure RPG fully embraces the rich lore of Robin Hood, with players on the run from Prince John’s enforcers, as these folk heroes avoid the law and the dangers of their uneasy lifestyle. The Hooded Man allows players to tell new stories about Hood’s followers, with a streamlined D6 pool system driving these classic conflicts of good versus evil. With the outlaws stemming from a robust range of backgrounds, players will be creating personalities of their own, as they embrace the good fight in December.
