What do we know about Undaunted 2200: Callisto?

“Jovian Moon Base - Callisto, 22nd Century AD. Tensions have arisen between the conglomerate of Earth’s leading corporations that funded the base, and the mining collective tasked with operating it. Protests have erupted,  strikes called, and contracts broken. Private security forces have been hired, industrial mining vehicles repurposed for combat, and long-disused military mechs reawoken. The battle for Callisto is about to begin: it's time to choose your side…"

Undaunted 2200: Callisto is a deviation from the Undaunted line we've come to expect, heading into not just space, but a distant future. Though the theming remains the same, around conflict, you'll find a new science fiction setting as the basis for an expansion of the existing rules. The game will be available as a standalone big box game, using the core gameplay of the prior games – reviewed highly by contributors to Tabletop Gaming magazine – and can be played in two player, four player, and solo game modes. It'll be suitable for ages 14+, and have a play time of 45-60 minutes.

Within it, you'll be navigating the barren lunar landscape, attempting to seize high ground positions, and utilising mechs to gain control of Callisto and the necessary precious resources. 

Unofficial sources ahead of its announcement reported further box details that it will include 4 double sided boards, a standard and solo rulebook, over 135 cards, over 70 tokens, and 12 dice, with a 13th August 2024 release date. 

Osprey Games confirmed that the game will be released sometime in 2024. 

Who's behind Undaunted 2200: Callisto?

Creators Trevor Benjamin and David Thompson return to their series for this, both having worked together successfully in the past. What began, as detailed in our interview with the pair, as a five year journey to bring Undaunted: Normandy to life, has spawned numerous since, including Undaunted: Stalingrad, Undaunted: Reinforcements, Undaunted: North Africa, and more. It also includes the return of the illustrator Roland MacDonald to the series and is being published by Osprey Games.

What is Undaunted?

The games are a series of deckbuilding wargames, centred around battles of WW2. It has become an award winning series since its inception, including a number of "Must Play" ratings from Tabletop Gaming magazine.
