Can you escape the Imperium? Slip through the claws of a Genestealer? Try your luck at a Warhammer 40,000 escape room
Games Workshop has teamed up with Escapologic to create an immersive live action Warhammer 40,000 game experience.
The escape room is based in Nottingham, one of two of the Escapologic sites (the other being in Leicester). It’s a natural fit that the seat of wargaming in the UK should host such a live experience.
Named Immaterium, the experience is one that sees willing participants play out a scenario set on an elaborately detailed rogue trader ship heading towards a warp storm.
Expect to wrestle with puzzles, codes and tricks designed to hold up Eldar Farseers, let alone a group of friends looking for an evening’s worth of live action brain teasing.
They promise to bring “the raw emotion of Warpspace to life” according to the press release. Whether we get a chance to bathe in the maelstrom-jacuzzi of roiling chaos gods is yet to be seen, but for now it’s probably best to plan to work out which way round to hold a plasma pistol.
