You can now buy miniatures of Monty Python and the Holy Grail’s Black Knight and King Arthur

An armless knight might not normally seem the most popular choice for a miniature, but the feeling is a little different when the limbless swordsman in question happens to be one of comedy’s greatest characters.

Warlord Games is releasing models of the Black Knight and King Arthur from the endlessly quotable 1975 classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The limited-edition figures, which show John Cleese’s undeterred knight kicking the late Graham Chapman’s King Arthur in the bottom after both his arms are cut off (“’tis but a scratch!”), will be given away to attendees of Warlord’s 10th Birthday Games Day on October 14th and 15th at its Nottingham HQ.

Tickets to the show – which include the price of the miniatures – are £20, but are restricted to 300 on each of the days due to the venue's fire safety rules, making the models particularly hard to get your hands on in person.

Luckily, as with previously show-exclusive figures, Warlord has confirmed it will make the Black Knight and King Arthur figures available through its online store during the weekend, so those not at the event will still be able to pick them up. A price for the standalone miniatures is yet to be announced.

And if you don't get your hands on them, remember – it's only a model.
