The Living World is an interactive experience that unites the entire Conquest community around the globe, as they shape the world of Conquest,influence the lore and story, participate in Organized Play events, attend Expos and even show up in demo days! It is a unqiue way to do all the stuff you do as a gamer, while being part of the storytelling AND while gaining rewards for you, your clubs and even supporting your retailers!
So what is the Living World?
First off, the Living World is an interactive way for the player base of Conquest to influence the development and narrative of the world of Conquest itself, while gaining benefits by participating in all things Conquest.
When players visit the Living World site, they are confronted with an Interactive Map in which several map pins are active. By clicking on these map pins (often, but not always, associated with powerful and influential characters from the world of Eä) players can see what dilemmas or choices the character is currently faced with and what paths the character can choose to resolve them. After reading the information, the player is able to influence what decision the character ultimately makes by casting his or her votes. As these votes are cast, the tally for the chosen action will be updated live, so the players across the world will be collaboratively guiding the development of its background and lore thus shaping the future of Conquest.
This, however, was just the beginning of the Living World. Through participation in Organized Play events, tournaments and even demo days, players are able to gain “Aghm”, experience points that allow them to level up their account. The Account Rank System allows players to benefit from their passion in more tangible ways, giving them access to unique products, prizes and discounts all for participating in developing our world together and playing their favorite game!
This is a huge and ambitious undertaking. We want the community to truly own and engage with the world and we hope to do so by truly making it THEIR world. Only recently, our community decide something huge: the Sixth Faction of Conquest! Through series of votes, the community chose among three candidate factions, ultimately calling for the undead faction of the Old Dominion to join the fray in Q1 2022!
