In KeyForge two players take on the roles of Archons, mighty beings who are racing to unlock the secrets of the Crucible, an artificial world built from the pieces of countless other planets. Deck building is This is the world's first Unique Deck Game, meaning that no time is spent deck building. Instead, you purchase a pre-made deck that features a selection of three of the many houses that inhabit the crucible. Each house has it's own art and play style so there are plenty of combinations to be discovered, as well as unexpected and entertaining card interactions to discover too.
Your deck will have a completely unique combination of cards, and with it you will race against your opponent to be the first to forge three keys and win the game. To helm the imprint, Asmodee Entertainment has hired Marc Gascoigne, lately publisher & MD of award-winning global sci-fi imprint Angry Robot. He’s hired assistant editor, Lottie Llewelyn-Wells, publishing coordinator, Nick Tyler, and marketing manager, Anjuli Smith, to join him in Nottingham, UK.
Aconyte will start publishing in the Fall of 2020, producing paperbacks and ebooks for the US, UK, and export markets. As well as a range of fiction based on Asmodee’s properties, Aconyte are also concluding deals to explore a number of third-party IPs, with more planned.
